Operating Temperature Range

Heat Tracing Models

Nicropad offers electric heat tracing systems in different configurations to suit specific process, pipeline, and site requirements.

Constant Wattage Series Resistance Heat Tracer

Constant Wattage Series Resistance Heat Tracers are supplied in factory-terminated, fixed lengths, typically ranging from 2 metres to 25 metres.

Power connection leads are provided at one end along with a ¾-inch cable gland for connection to a suitable junction box.

As these tracers are designed and manufactured for a specific circuit length, they must be installed and operated at their full designated length and should not be cut or shortened at site.

Constant Wattage Parallel Resistance Heat Tracer

Constant Wattage Parallel Resistance Heat Tracers provide greater installation flexibility and are available in longer lengths, including 100-metre and 200-metre bundles.

The tracer can be cut to the required circuit length at site according to pipeline dimensions and installation requirements, subject to the applicable design limitations.

Suitable termination accessories, including cable glands and end seals, are provided to achieve a secure and reliable installation.

Self-Regulating Heat Tracer

Nicropad Self-Regulating Heat Tracers automatically adjust their heat output in response to changes in the surrounding temperature.

As the temperature increases, the heat output decreases, helping provide efficient temperature maintenance while reducing the risk of overheating. This makes self-regulating tracers particularly suitable for applications where process or ambient temperatures may vary.

Wattage Options

Nicropad electric heat tracers are available in a range of power outputs to meet different process heating requirements:

12 W/m | 16 W/m | 25 W/m | 33 W/m | 45 W/m | 60 W/m | 66W/m

Standard systems are available for 230 V, single-phase AC power supply, with system selection based on the required maintain temperature, ambient conditions, pipeline dimensions, insulation, and process requirements.

Heat tracing systems can be engineered in accordance with applicable requirements of BS 6351, where specified.
